This is a really GREAT unit. My only issue is that the instructions are in small print. However, when you are considering to purchase this unit there are videos that help you to understand how to clean and change heads. I’ve used it several times since buying it. My best advice is to shave dry. My shave lasted 3 days. So don’t allow your hair to grow long. This device had a sensor for when to clean. So with dry hair it’s not as messy. Watch the videos when you are buying!!!!!

I always preferred wet shaving but this little guy is the best day-to-day shaver I could ask for. I tried dry and wet shaving but did not see or feel any difference, which is fine with me. Dry shaving is a lot less messy anyway.

Absolutely the best product for us bald men available. I HATED shaving my head everyday. This easily tackles the hair with 0 issues and in virtually no time. Company is fantastic. Shortly after my order the sent me something letting me know they have QC standards but sometimes things happen (which I think we all get) and things slip through the cracks. This is the first and only time anything I’ve ordered from Amazon has had the company reach out to ask about any issues regarding my prod. Customer service seems to be top notch, which is partially why I ordered to begin with, but it’s nice to experience it BEFORE there’s an issue. The peace of mind can’t be over stated.

When I ordered it was was concerned that it had too many cutting heads, but it had some good reviews and I was curious, so I bought it and have been using it for 2 or 3 weeks. The heads cut Ok. Their position can float up & down to some degree, so I do tend to cut a fairly large area all at once. I mainly use it to shave my head. I also shave my face, but around the nose and mouth is always a problem because this kind of shaver will not cut as closely there as I want to cut. I am not dinging this model, but my experience with this style of shaver is it is not able to do a very close shave around the nose & mouth. So I have a more conventional shaver (Andis) with a very thin foil to use after I’m finished shaving with this shaver, so I can have a very close shave around my mouth and neck. This 9 head shaver can do the mouth & neck areas but it’s better to have a separate shaver for those problem areas where the skin & flesh are very soft and the areas are hard to get to. I have come to realize that a 2 shaver solution is the best way to shave the head and face to take care of problem areas. So far I am pleased with this unit. I have had similar shavers before but didn’t use them so much because cleaning them was time consuming. Until, one day I decided to just use my vacuum to clean out all the cut hairs that accumulate in the little cutting chambers. The way I do this is to have a Sanitaire handy & when I finish shaving I leave the shaver running and I take the hose from the vacuum, and with the hose vent open (so it is not sucking too hard) I put the hose full on over a cutting head, then I use my fingers to close the vent for a couple of seconds and the vacuum sucks air really hard (because I’ve plugged the vent with my fingers), then I unplug the vent and follow the same process for all the other cutting heads. Then I make a spot check of one of the cutting heads to make sure it’s pretty clean. Believe it or not, this cleans out all the cut hairs very well and it is fast. Like I can vacuum out all 9 heads in less than a minute. If you don’t clean out the cut hairs from the cutting chambers then the cutting chambers get packed full of old trimmings and the shaver will not be able to shave very well. The point here is to not let the cutting chambers get packed with old cut hair trimmings. And the vacuum certainly does that very well. If the air has a lot of static electricity then tiny little pieces of hair may get sticky and if you insist on cleaning them off then you need a brush. But such little bits of hair do not affect the cutting ability of the heads. What is bad is when the chamber behind the cutting head get packed with cut hairs. If the chambers are empty except for little bits sticking the the surface then they will cut very well (you don’t have to get the cutting chambers perfectly clean, but they should be mostly empty). I don’t wash with water, because, if the trimming dust gets wet but it’s not washed away then it can ‘cake’ when it dries and get really hard and difficult to clean. So far the vacuum is working well for me and I have not damaged the equipment. Sometimes I have had to fish a cutting head out of the vacuum when I was taking a shaver apart to clean it really well. But the head was not damaged, I just cleaned it and put it back in the shaver, no problem. So far I am very pleased with using my vacuum to clean the shaver, I don’t even have to open the heads up. Vacuuming while the shaver is running seems to help a bit cleaning out stuff compared to vacuuming when the unit is not running. Sometimes I can spend more time and use the brush and open the chambers up, but honestly, the vacuum does such a good job this may not be needed to do very often. So, for me at least, this solves the main hangup of using this style of shaver, the time and effort of cleaning them after each use. I’ve had no problems, but use common sense, and don’t blame me if you try my suggestion and it damages your equipment.
